The Beatles recorded 'Any Time At All' on June 2, 1964 in 11 takes. Seven takes were of the basic rhythm track and John's vocal. Paul's vocals were then added, along with the middle eight piano and guitar. The song was originally released in the UK on July 10, 1964 on the album "A Hard Day's Night." Take 11 was used for release. A mono mix (re-mix 1) was completed on June 4, 1964 but was never released. Two separate mono mixes were created on June 22, 1964 the first for the UK (re-mix 2) and the second for the US (re-mix 3). The stereo mix was also completed this day. The US mono release is missing the piano overdub.

When Capitol Records released this track July 20, 1964 on the US LP "Something New" the stereo version was reprocessed with echo and reverb added.

In the spring of 1976 George Martin remixed a stereo version of 'Anything At All' in Los Angeles for the LP "Rock 'N' Roll Music." This album was released in the US on June 7, 1976 and in the UK on June 11, 1976. The original UK release of this LP consisted of direct transfers of the early master tapes, until October 1980, when the double-LP was issued as two single budget label LP's. At that time the new George Martin remixes were used.

On February 26, 1987 the album, "A Hard Day's Night" was released in both the US and the UK on the CD format. Originally, a new stereo mix was prepared for this release; however, George Martin later remixed the album in mono. It is the new mono mix, which is found on the CD release of the album "A Hard Day's Night."

The final recording for the album A Hard Day's Night. Taped on 2 June and released in the UK just seven weeks later on 10 July. A John Lennon song. There was to be a fourteenth song for the album, but Ringo was sick on the day of the recording session, they were due to fly to Denmark for a concert tour later that day, so there was no more time left to record it and so When I Get Home became the last recording. see You Know What To Do/ No Reply (demo) for more info.
