A classic early Beatles recording, the LP's title track, the Beatles' second single and their first number one (one some charts at least). The song, as written by John, was originally presented to George Martin in a much slower form, something akin to a Roy Orbison number, and it was recorded in that manner on 11 September 1962. The hit-remake was taped on 26 November 1962.
