A remarkably mature composition, recorded as a three part harmony vocal exercise by John, Paul and George. This song proved the quality of the Lennon/McCartney song writing team, being good enough for a number one A-side release in its own right. Even in a year when the Beatles had released 32 new recordings this could only make a the B-side of I Want To Hold Your Hand. The recording commenced and was completed in 17 takes on 17 October, the 15th take being chosen for the record release.
